What is this Piece of Sonoma County History?

There are a few of these around Sonoma County.  Do you know what this is, what it was used for?  Please post your answer here, you do not need to register or sign up for anything, you can post anonymously

If you have a story about these "whatchamacallits", please post it.

What do you think it is?

  1. Those sir are hop kilns. I know that western Sonoma county used to grow a lot of hops and then we used to grow a lot of apples and now it is world class grapes. I guess it is just a casual beer and wine kind of setting.

  10. This is an apple dryer located on Blackney Road in Sebastopol next to what used to be a large apple orchard, now a vineyard.
